Krishna Harrison
Krishna's
extensive musical background includes her work as a world percussionist
for over 10 years and as a didjeridu artist for 6 years. As a percussionist,
Krishna has studied and performed internationally with instruments
varying from the Middle Eastern doumbec, tar and riqq to the African
djembe, Latin American conga, Peruvian “cajon” and
more. She has studied with world percussion artists such as Glenn
Velez, Layne Redmond, Rey Nosauro, MaryEllen Donald and Ya Ya Dialo
and has trained with the foremost drum circle facilitator, Arthur
Hull. Krishna performs and teaches the didjeridu in the U.S. and
abroad. Currently, she teaches private and group classes in Afro-Cuban
drumming, Middle Eastern drumming, didjeridu and the fundamentals
of rhythm.
An adjunct professor of law at U.C. Davis Law School, she incorporates
music and rhythm into Alternative Dispute Resolution and Communication
techniques and makes herself available to corporations, government,
and individual mediation and A.D.R. She enjoys performing with
the world fusion group Diluvio.
